Centre for Socially Displaced Persons

December 04, 2020:  The advent of COVID-19 imposed several guidelines that limited the number of persons from participating in public gathering activities, however, those restrictions did not hamper the DIC’s ability to engage in a community outreach activity, that not only adhered to the COVID-19 restrictions but uncovered DIC’s ability to be innovative and transformational during precarious times.

As a result, staff engaged in a virtual mask making exercise and produced a hundred (100) face masks for distribution to the Centre for Socially Displaced Persons, an Arm of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.  The virtual session was facilitated by Designed Life Caribbean Ltd and members of staff show-cased their creativity and dexterity in using a sewing machine to make the fabric masks.
